Window Mechanism

Our client could no longer source a component for their window frames, the components were first 3D scanned, but this proved to be unsuccessful due to small, recessed sections on the component that didn’t appear when the measuring was done, and the fact that the component itself was badly bowed. We then took physical measurements and compared them to the 3D scanned model, through this process, we were able to perfectly recreate the parts in CAD and then 3D print a new components.

Biometric Scanner Prototype

Our client had produced their own internals of a prototype biometric system. We had to model these internal components and design an ergonomic, robust, and aesthetically pleasing housing with a wall mounting bracket to allow easy exchange of the unit, or to easily remove and access the internal components.

ABS Replica of Clay Pot

Our client wanted to produce replicas of a traditional clay pot for display purposes, this design started with only an image of the clay pot and from there we had to scale and replicate the shape and features. We went through 3 different designs before reaching one that was very similar to the original in the image provided to us. We also printed an array of sizes for the display.

Ring Roller Prototype

Our client required a ring rolling machine designed for a specific purpose, they were unable to source one at a reasonable price, nor could they source a second-hand machine. We designed a machine based on the client’s description and a few images we were able to find online. Our design incorporated only locally sourced and locally manufactured components, it also came in at almost 50% of the cost of a new imported machine.

Laser Profiled Table Top

Our client is a furniture manufacturer who had a request for a custom tabletop, they sent us a very quickly drawn and basic sketch of the concept and asked us to try and create a more realistic CAD rendering and have the item profiled for them.
